  1. This is a "footer" file located within this directory. It can be used to
  2. add supplemental information that doesn't fit within the heading
  3. area.<P>

  5. Some things to note about the above display:

  7. <LI> The <code>Parent Directory</code>, <code>Goodies</code>, and 
  8. <code>note.gif</code> entries show descriptions that are taken from
  9. a "descriptions" file within the current directory. This file is 
  10. hidden from the listing because its name begins with <code>#</CODE>,
  11. and the server is normally set up to hide all files whose names begin
  12. with <code>#</code>.

  14. <LI>The <code>note.gif</code> description is an HTML link. You canuse this
  15. to provide extended descriptions for files that need it. The link is to
  16. another hidden file <code>~note.html</code>. As shipped, the server is
  17. set up to hide all files beginning with <code>~</code>.

  19. <LI>The file <code>RubOut.txt</code> has a description that is
  20. it's MIME type. This is (optionally) generated by the server when there
  21. is no other description (explicit or via HTML extraction).

  23. Finally, the address shown below is a "mailto" link. This is generated
  24. by the server, and uses the administrator's e-mail address, which is a
  25. server setup option. Click it and see what happens. Depending on your
  26. browser, your results may vary.
